Last week we were visited by the Mango Number Nine team – a group of young volunteers from North Tyneside who formed together as part of the National Citizen Service. They have come up with a campaign called ‘Life’s Necessities’ in which they have worked together to raise money and created nearly 50 care packages filled with toiletries and sanitary products for those in need of food parcels – including a kids version filled with colouring books and crayons!
When the supplies arrived it was all hands on! An assembly line was set up and the boxes prepared! This process took a while to sort out as there was a lot of different ideas being brought to the table, however after a short while everything was set up and the process running smoothly.
We’ve now started giving them out to those most at need and would like to thank the team for all their hard work and dedication in putting these together for us!
